College football teams are supposed to take every season one game at a time, but fans, bettors and handicappers are always looking ahead. Danny Sheridan, one of the most prominent college football handicappers and analysts, made an appearance at the Fightin’ Gator Touchdown Club in Gainesville, Florida on Thursday night to talk UF football and happenings around the SEC.

It’s been a while since we’ve had headlines about Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh taking shots at the SEC. That’s about to change thanks to a new book coming out “Overtime: Jim Harbaugh and the Michigan Wolverines at the Crossroads of College Football” by John U. Florida’s next SEC game will be against Auburn on Oct. 5. Thanks to the SEC’s scheduling model of six division opponents, one permanent cross-division rival and one rotational cross-division opponent, it will be the first time the Gators and Tigers have faced off since 2011 (first meeting in Gainesville since 2007).

After starting the 2019 season No. 2, Alabama is now ranked No. 1 in the Associated Press Top 25 after Week 5. If the Bulldogs and Crimson Tide meet again, SEC Network analyst Jordan Rodgers thinks UGA will have the advantage. “I have Georgia with the clear advantage over Alabama right now, and I’ll tell you why,” Rodgers said in a recent appearance on ESPN’s “Get Up.”.

After a brief separation, Gainesville’s own Anthony Richardson is once again committed to the Florida Gators. The Eastside dual-threat quarterback made the announcement Saturday via his Twitter account. He originally committed to Florida on July 28, 2018, but backed off that pledge in February when Dan Mullen and his staff began to pursue Carson Beck, the Mandarin (Jacksonville, Florida) product who won the state of Florida’s Mr.

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – For many draft prospects, Pro Day is an opportunity to push back against any negative narratives coming out of Indianapolis. In the case of Jalen “Teez” Tabor, he did the opposite. Coming off 40-yard dash times in the high 4.6s (an unofficial 4.68) at the NFL Scouting Combine, Tabor ran again Tuesday in Florida’s indoor practice facility.

ATLANTA – For a brief moment, Florida looked like it had a chance. It didn’t last long. The Gators scored the first offensive touchdown allowed by the Alabama defense since Oct. 22 and had a 99-yard advantage in offensive production. GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Quincy Wilson deserves to be a star cornerback in the SEC. Unfortunately, he won’t get the chance. Blame his teammate for being one of the best cornerbacks in college football. Late in the first quarter of Saturday’s game, Kentucky tried to take a shot deep. Wildcats QB Drew Barker looked for Jeff Badet roughly 40 yards down field, but his pass ended up in Wilson’s hands after the junior cornerback made an improbable one-handed grab.

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Kendall Graveman did not get much run support on Saturday night. He didn’t need it. The junior right-hander tossed 72/3 scoreless innings as No. 25 Mississippi State blanked No. 5 Florida 2-0 to even their series in Gainesville. The Bulldogs (31-19, 13-13 SEC) scored on Florida sophomore right-hander Jonathon Crawford (4-2), filling in for an injured Brian Johnson (hamstring), in the top of the first on a Hunter Renfroe RBI single.
